Slice Of Life #288 - Nothing To Write About - Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020

We're still in RMCO (basically lockdown), so life is still pretty boring. :( However, the country is starting to reopen again, as I can go to more of my classes now. I can go take piano lessons, swimming, and badminton lessons now - and we're talking REAL lessons (like, non-virtual ones).
Other than summer school, life has been pretty boring today. I've played games for longer today, so my plan for today is to: GET OFF THE COMPUTER FOR THE REST OF THE DAY AFTER WRITING THIS. Wait. Actually, "get off the computer for the rest of the day after writing this and taking today's dose of coding lessons (I'm learning coding for free now because I have lots more free time, and also, why not learn something new?)
After doing some coding, I'm going to practice on the piano, clarinet, read, write (maybe? kinda' not in the mood to do it today, but maybe I'll be in the mood later), and do anything that pops up in my head later.
Well, since I have lots of things to do, I'm going to end this post here! Bye!

Slice Of Life #247 - Chinese New Year - Tuesday, January 28th, 2020

"Thank you very much," I told one of my relatives, accepting a red packet from him. I added the red packet to my pile of red packets.
I was in Ipoh, my dad's hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year. I liked Chinese New Year, not only because I got red packets, but also because it also allowed me to rest. It also gave me extra time to do homework (which, honestly, doesn't really apply to me because I complete all my homework before Chinese New Year to avoid having to do homework during holidays like this).
I also loved going back to Ipoh, as I got to go eat at amazing vegan restaurants that have things (such as cakes) that are vegan that cannot (or are hard to) be found in Selangor.
Unfortunately, this year, we only had 3 days (including the weekend) of holidays because of Chinese New Year (sad), which didn't allow me to go back to Ipoh for too long.
I like to open my red packets after Chinese New Year, which means that I have to wait for 18 more days before I can open the red packet - which is really testing my patience. For now, that's what I'm gonna' do. Wait for 18 days to pass until I can finally open my red packets. That's all for now!

Slice Of Life #245 - Happy New Year! - Tuesday, January 7th, 2020

I know that this title would have been better last week, but last week, I happened to be in China, where I couldn't access Google, so I couldn't slice. I currently am sitting at the dining table, eating my breakfast. I'm eating it later now because it's the holidays and I'm waking up later (not really a good thing), so I'm eating later. My mom's made pretty good pasta for me to eat this morning, but the drink tastes pretty bad because she put some turmeric in it (just trying new things).
China was pretty fun. I got to go to Lijiang and Kunming, where there was lots of beautiful scenery every time we turned a corner. I managed to get some pretty good photos because of the good scenery there. In Lijiang, I got to go to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the Black Dragon Pool (see picture above).

This picture wasn't taken by me, but I had taken an almost identical one from the same place. The picture here is taken from the Black Dragon Pool, a national park in China. If you look closely, you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain covered with snow looming in the distance.
In Kunming, I got to go see the Stone Forest, which basically is a forest of stone, if you look at the picture below. We spent a whole day there before leaving to go back to Malaysia. The stone forest used to be located in an ocean, but the water from the ocean caused the rock to erode and eventually, the rocks started to look like this (with some help from tectonic plates, of course). In some places in the forest, you still can see some lakes and fallen rocks due to earthquakes, making the Stone Forest a really interesting place.

This is the bird's eye view of Stone Forest, although not all places in the forest are like that. There are lots of very interesting places in this stone forest, and I hope that you have a chance to go there sometime!

Well, this pretty much wraps up what I have to say this week. Bye!

Slice Of Life #244 - HOLIDAYS! - Tuesday, December 24th, 2019

It's the holidays! Finally! I can stay at home and relax now! Currently, I am at home, drinking a pack of soya milk and a pack of double Belgian chocolate with pistachio milk because there has been no water supply to our area for 3 consecutive days. Because of that, no restaurants are open (well, some are, but I have feelings of doubt that the water they're using is clean water) because they don't have any water to use. Later, we're going to Subang Jaya, to the town next to us (about 30 mins from my house) to eat because they aren't affected and have a good water supply.
Apparently, the river that we're taking our water from got contaminated because some people dumped oil into it (note to the person who dumped oil in it: seriously?), and now they have to clean the water (somehow) before they can send it to the water treatment plant.
The river was fully cleaned yesterday, but we still have to wait for the water to come to us because the water needs to be processed and then sent to us. We're not only about an hour away from the treatment plant, but we also live on a hill, so I'm anticipating that the water's going to come to us sometime later today or tomorrow because it's going to take some time for the water to come to us.
Now, I'm going to go set up my clarinet because I want to practice some songs and do something productive. Wait... For some reason, I can't put together my clarinet! I'm going to wait until my clarinet teacher comes later for my lessons.

An Hour Has Passed...

According to my clarinet teacher, my upper joint has expanded because of the hot climate in Malaysia, and because of that, I can't assemble the instrument. Later today, I have to bring my clarinet to a shop so that they can fix it and do something about it (I don't know what they're going to do). My clarinet teacher is going to go home now because there's nothing much he can teach me without my clarinet. (I'm sorry!)
I hope that we're going to get some more water supply later so that I don't have to keep going to other cities to eat. I'm going to end this post here because I don't have anything else to write about now. Bye!

Slice Of Life #236 - Wonderous Vietnam - Tuesday, October 29th, 2019

The past 5 days have been amazing, and have also gone by in a flurry. Currently, I'm in the airport, waiting for my food to come (and it literally comes as I'm writing this sentence).
Yesterday, I went to Halong Bay, a World Heritage site in Hanoi. At Halong Bay, I got to go climb a mountain on Titap Island and enjoy the amazing panoramic view of Halong Bay. I also got to go into Suprising Cave (yes, that's the name if the cave) and see the beautiful rock formations and countless stalagmites and stalagtites. This cave was first discovered by the French in 1901 when they were still controlling Vietnam.
After going to the cave, I got to go kayaking along Halong Bay and see the wonders of the area. While going back, I saw some monkeys scaling multiple trees, staring down at us.
The day before that, we went on a city tour in Hanoi. We went to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. This mausoleum is the place where Ho Chi Minh's body currently rests. This is the most heavily guarded place in all of Hanoi, with the army and police guarding this mausoleum, with special forces all around this area, ready to assemble on short notice.
We also went to the Museum of Etymology, where we got to take a glimpse at the lives of different people from different ethnic groups in Vietnam.
Then, we went to the Temple of Literature, which was originally build during 1070 for the king's son (to go study at). Last time, tests used to be hosted there every 3 years to see who in the country was smart (not the right way to phrase it, I think). Now, it's just a tourist attraction for us to go see and learn about it's history.
In Ho Chi Minh city, we went to see the Gu Chi Tunnels, a wide and vast channel of tunnels used by the communists during the Vietnam War. I learned about many things, such as how the airholes were structured. These airholes were essential and crucial for the communists, and they had to make sure that they weren't discovered by the Americans because the American would be able to put in gas and kill all of them. So, they had an amazing solution. They put old jackets to block the airholes so that air would still be able to go through the airholes, but the American's dogs wouldn't be able to sense these as grounds that belonged to the communists, as they would think that the airholes belonged to the Americans.
Also, they would also wear slippers backward (not really, but I can't really describe it) so that when they retreated, their opposition would think that they had went the other way.
They also had 'secret shootholes' (that's what I'm going to call them) to shoot at the Americans - they fought using Guerilla tactics. After shooting a shot, they would run to another shoot hole and shoot from there, and so on so that the Americans would think that they had lots of people fighting for them, and retreat. They also had traps (terrifying ones) to scare the Americans psychologically and make them retreat.
I'm probably going to be making a video about what we did in Vietnam sometime soon, but don't think that I will post it on this blog.
But there's one thing I do have to say - the experience was amazing. And I hope that we can have experiences like this more often - because they really are amazing.

Slice Of Life #224 - At The Clinic - Tuesday, August 6th, 2019

Currently, I am at the clinic. I attempted to sign in to my private account to write this post, but Google kept asking me for the a verification code and stuff like that. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that because my mom wasn't around (and she had the phone). I called her but she said she didn't receive anything and we tried different ways but it didn't work.
Because of that, I have to use my school account to write this post. I wanted to use my private account because I would be able to do some writing after I wrote this post. Unfortunately, now I can't do any writing because all my work and stories are in my private account.
I am currently at my dad's clinic because my mom is doing some things outside. Okay... The AC just turned off for no reason. I'm gonna go and turn it back on.
I'm back. Now, I don't know what to write about. I'm reading on my Kindle. Oh, wait... I said that I was gonna write about my trip to Taiwan last week.
Last week, I came back from Taiwan, where I went to a summer camp. At the summer camp, I got to experience the outdoors. The summer camp was a "farming camp", and so on the first day we played a few games that were widely played in rural areas.
On the 2nd day, we went to a pineapple farm and an organic farm. At the pineapple farm, we got to eat as many pineapples as we wanted. At the organic farm, we got a lot of free food (in exchange for the fact that we had to "work" for them). We also helped them harvest vegetables.
On the 3rd day, we we went to a beach and also a place where they would grow trees and use them to make things. We had a lot of fun at the beach, but unfortunately I forgot to charge my watch, so it "died" at the beach. My watch is alive now because I charged it when I got back. We also went to a place where they would take naturally grown trees (I forgot the species) and would make them into clothes and things like that.
On the 4th day, we went clam catching and fishing. We did fishing the way the indigenous people did it. They would build houses for the fish and the fish would live in it. Then, when they needed food, they would catch the fish and eat it.
On the 5th and final day, we went to a rice farm, where we learned about how they packaged rice, how they harvested it and how they made it white rice (basically stuff like that). After that, we went home.
And that's basically what happened. I'm gonna go now. Bye!

Slice Of Life #221 - I Almost Forgot... - Tuesday, July 7th, 2019

Related image
Okay... I have almost forgot to write today's slice. And, I don't know what to write about. It is really late now in Malaysia, so this slice will be a quick one - I need my sleep.
Tomorrow, I'm going to do some maintenance in my "Lego Paradise". I need to do some repairing to a few things I have made out of Lego a long time ago. I call this place a "Lego Paradise" simply because it has lots of things made out of Lego in it.
I am now laughing because of something I have found on Google. This picture brings me good memories - I was doing some research and trying to find a picture about plastic pollution with my friends when I came across this picture (on the right) and me and my friends started laughing like crazy - even though now that I think about it it really isn't that funny...
Okay, it's getting late! I'm gonna go to sleep now! Bye!

Slice Of Life #218 - Summer Holidays! - Tuesday, June 18th, 2019

Today is the 2nd day of my summer holiday, so I don't have to go to school. My summer holiday's going to last 2 months. Because of that, I'm going to be going to Spain this Saturday. But for now, I'm bored.
I've just came up from the living room, where I've been reading The BFG by Roald Dahl. I've finished the whole book except for about 50 pages, which I should be able to finish in the car while we're going to a shopping mall later today.
I'm also looking at a few books that I may want to buy. I'm currently looking at Allies by Alan Gratz. It's going to come out in October later this year, and I've recently become obsessed with books by Alan Gratz, so I may want to pre-order it.
Downstairs, I have a whole bookshelf almost full of books that I want to read over the summer. Surprisingly, I haven't read Harry Potter (I read the first 20 pages of the first book, but thought it was too boring), so I'm going to try to read - and persevere - through it this time, because everyone says it's amazing.

Now wait, I need to go to buy some groceries with my mom...

Okay... I'm back.  We went out, ate some lunch, and then bought some groceries. Now I have to do my research.
Because we are going to Spain, my dad asked me to search up a few places to go to. We have 2 days in Barcelona where we don't know what we're going to do, so my dad asked me to find a few places where I'm interested in going.
I'm gonna' start searching, so I'm going to conclude this post here. Bye! 👋

Slice Of Life #184 - Fire Hazard - Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019

Warmth surrounded me as I went inside the restaurant. I felt relieved to finally be able to stop shivering.
I went inside and sat down. My parents's friends were already there, and they had pushed the tables together for all of us.
Just then, I saw a waiter come out from the kitchen. At first, I thought that he was going to take our orders.
    But he didn't.
"I'm sorry, but according to the company's rules the tables have to be separated."
"How many inches?" A friend asked, just for fun. "1,2, or 3 inches?"
The man didn't answer, but judging by his facial expressions, he looked really annoyed.
"Can I inquire why this rule is in effect?" I asked him. He didn't answer me.
"Sir, who put this rule in effect? It's terrible!" I said again. "Why is this segregation happening?!"
"I'm terribly sorry, but they're orders from the management." The man said as he started moving the tables. None of us helped him in protest.
Because all the tables were separated, we came up with a new solution. We sat by the side of the table so we could at least see each other.
"I'm sorry, but you can't sit like that. It's a fire hazard." The waiter said.
We all laughed. "I'm assuming you're joking, right?" Another friend asked.
    "No, I'm not."
"So we're going to have to eat on separate tables?"
    "Yes, sir. I'm terribly sorry."
"So, what you're telling all of us is that we're blocking the way to the toilet and that people won't be able to escape in an event of an fire?" I questioned him in a bold voice.
    "Yes."
"But why is the table behind us allowed to do the same thing?" A friend asked again.
The waiter walked to the table behind us and told the people sitting there that they had to move so they weren't blocking the way to or out of the toilet.
Because we had to sit separated from each other, that meant that we couldn't talk to each other easily.
And because of that, we left the restaurant in protest...

Slice Of Life #183 - Goin' Home! - Sunday, March 31st, 2019

I'm going to be going home soon. Currently, I'm in the airport. I've just passed security checks and am now sitting on a comfy sofa.
I am reading an article, and am now searching up a word that I don't understand.
Got it! I have the definition now  but I'm going to go play a game on the dictionary called 'How Strong is Your Vocabulary?'.
I hear rock music blaring out from two speakers to my right.
Okay, I'm back. Apparently the game is really hard and I got nowhere close to beating the 1st level.
But the other games are hard too. I still can't beat the beginning level of another game.
There's an ad playing on the large screen now, and it's about watches.
Next year, the annual conference that we're now coming back from is going to be hosted by Indonesia, which is good because I won't be suffering from jetlag when we get back - I'm probably going to be suffering from jetlag when I get back to Malaysia, which isn't good because it means that I'll be sleepy in class.
Now, a person is now talking on the loudspeaker, telling everyone that there's one passenger that needs to get onto the plane because it's going to leave soon.
I have to say, it's been pretty fun in the U.S.
Just today, we went shopping for some vegan food that Malaysia doesn't have to bring back to Malaysia. We also bought 4 popsicles, where me, my family, and a friend all ate one.
Now, I have to go because we have things that we need to do. Bye! See you tomorrow.

Slice Of Life #182 - Another Day in a Conference - Saturday, March 30th, 2019

Currently,  I am sitting in a lecture that is incredibly boring mainly because I don't understand a thing the lecturer is saying.
Other than that, in my opinion, one of the two speakers that are currently talking don't speak very good English and it is hard to understand his accent.
Tonight, we have a buffet dinner waiting for us. I am looking forward to that, and can't wait for this lecture to be over - because this is the last lecture before the early dinner.
In the previous lecture, I managed to finish a really good book. I can hear some drumming coming from outside, and I know that it's from the drums for the lion dance later (we're celebrating the organization that made this conference's 30th anniversary) because I went out to eat some food and saw.
Around me are mostly healthcare professionals, and they look interested, but I am sitting here just wondering what the heck is going on.
I'm going to go play the Google dinosaur game now because I'm bored.
Okay! I'm back! I didn't do very well this time, but still managed to get a high score of 655.
When is this lecture going to be over? I am now wondering. I am really bored. I've already read a few pages of another books.
Okay. I think that I'm going to end this post here and go outside and relieve myself from this boredom and eat a cookie.

Slice of Life #181 - Conference - Friday, March 29th, 2019

I am really disappointed right now. I already wrote a post that I couldn't save because I didn't have any internet connection. Unfortunately, because the post didn't save, I now have to rewrite the whole post.
Anyway, today, I went to a conference with my parents. Some of the topics were pretty interesting, while some topics were pretty boring because the speakers didn't really have much experience.
When the topics were boring  what I ended up doing was dozing off in my chair. Sometimes, the topics were so boring I would look over to the people around me and they would either be listening (not likely), looking at their phones, or in a deep sleep.
In one lecture, *no offense*, the speaker spoke terrible English and pretty much no one understood what she was trying to say.
Her subject was something about healthy eating and how that had to do with climate change, but she then started talking about the CO2 in plants (I suppose that has a little to do with climate change).
Now, I'm going to be going to sleep because I am pretty sleepy.
    Bye! See you tomorrow!

Slice Of Life #180 - Universal Studios! - Thursday, March 28th, 2019

The past few hours have truly been amazing. In the past few hours, I've taken a photo with a T-Rex, been on set, watched groups of people go to war on a floating island and water, watched animals chase animal trainers, watched a man burn, and been inside an Egyptian tomb.
In the past few hours, I've been in Universal Studios in LA, and I've had a great time. Although the T-Rex that I took a picture with was just a fake, it looked and acted surprisingly real. It roared, fiercely, and if you looked at him, it looked like he wanted to eat you. Boy, was I scared when I took the picture with her.
And although I wasn't on set, I got to go behind the scenes in Hollywood and look at the places that various movies were filmed. We also managed to watch some recording in progress.
Other than that, there were really cool short 4D movies that we got to see. There were things in the trailer that shot out water at us when required. The missiles looked really real, and I even ducked when I saw one coming towards me.
I also went on a really scary roller coaster called the mummy. My mom was screaming like mad. The roller coaster dropped and turned extremely quickly, and there were sudden drops. The roller coaster then went backwards really quickly,  and by the time I came out of the roller coaster, I was panting.
There was also a really cool show called Waterworld, and there were actors from real movies performing. The actors were highly trained, and occasionally would splash water to the people sitting in the splash zone, which was literally a zone that people sat in if they wanted to get wet.
In the special effects show, we watched some special effects that the cast used to make movies. There was one part where we watched a man on fire, and he stayed on fire for about 18 seconds *PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME*.
Okay, I'm gonna be eating dinner now. Tomorrow I'm going to be going to a conference with my parents!
    Bye! See you tomorrow!

Slice Of Life #179 - Shopping! - Wednesday, March 28th, 2019

I'm now at my hotel, back from dinner - although a late dinner.
My parents are now chatting with some of their friends, and I am sitting here on a chair in the reception writing this slice.
Today, I went shopping in an outlet in a place called Palm Springs. I bought 3 shoes, including 1 red Nike shoe that I am currently wearing and that I think looks pretty good.
I also bought 2 Sketchers shoes, one of them which is slightly larger than my current shoe size so I can wear it in the future. I also bought some green waterproof shoes.
All the Sketchers shoes that I bought have gel-infused memory foam because I really like them because they are really comfortable.
My mom bought a few things for her, but my dad didn't buy anything.
Now, I am a little worried because I want to be able to wake up early tomorrow morning because I am going to be going to Universal Studios.
Tomorrow, we are also be getting some things that we ordered. We sent it to my parents's friends's homes, and my parents's friends are coming tomorrow.
I am going to get my luggage tomorrow, so I'm going to be looking forward to it.
I'm gonna go sleep now! Bye!

Slice Of Life #178 - Disneyland! - Tuesday, March 26th, 2019

Whew! I've just came back from Disneyland here in the US, and I am really exhausted.
Disneyland was really fun despite he fact that the lines for each activity were really long.
The first activity that I took was a Star Wars one. This activity was a short 4D movie, but we had to wait for 50 minutes before we finally got to watch the movie.
The movie was really cool. The quality of the movie was really good and the people in the movie looked really cool.
Other than that, you also felt like you was actually moving because the chairs were also moving (which is what makes it 4D).
Inside the building where we waited and stood in the queue, there were also robots that could move and also talk to entertain us.
After the Star Wars activity, I decided to give to an activity that was called 'Astro Blasters'. In Astro Orbiters, we had to wait 45 minutes in the line until we actually got to play it.
Once again, the game was really cool. We sat in a car that moved with a gin and tried to shoot targets on the walls. Targets that were lit up have you more points, but as long as we hit the target we earned points. At the end, I managed to get 4,400 points. My mom got 13,000 points, and somehow my dad managed to get 39,000 points.
After that, we went to an activity where we got to drive cars (that aren't as large as normal cars). I kept crashing into the objects when we had to turn left and the right the next second because I didn't turn 5he steering wheel enough and instead turned it back to the middle instead of the right or left.
There were lots of "lands" in Disney land. In my opinion, Tomorrowland, which was the land that1 we started out in (all the previous activities were there - the Astro Blasters, Star Wars).
After a while, we went to Fantasyland. I didn't find Fantasyland as entertaining, but I went on a roller coaster which was short but extremely fun.
Next, I went into Mickey's Toontown, which is another land. I found a door that was pretty cool  because (I think it had a wire attached to it), the door should fill with color and produce a few sounds. The door was supposed to be an entrance to a power plant (although fake), so I think that it was supposed to be electricity crackling, out of control. We walked through Mickey's Toontown, exited it, and went to Frontierland.
In Frontierland, I played the Fronteirland Shootin' Exposition, where we had a rifle (a fake but a little heavy one) and had to shoot targets.
After going to Frontierland, I went to Adventureland, which was next to Frontierland. In Adventureland, I went on the Jungle Cruise, where we got on a boat and sailed around a course that was set up for us. The course was really cool as it had lots of animals in it to represent the wildlife in different places. Other than that, the animals looked surprisingly real and the "boat driver" did a good job narrating. She even had a starter pistol that she fired, which I found cool.
After that, we walked out of Adventureland, passed New Orleans Square, and went to Critter Country. In Critter Country, we went to an activity called "The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" just for the fun if it. Fortunately, the line wasn't very long as the ride was short and there were lots of "carts" to carry us around.
In Critter Country, we stopped by the restaurant to get a Vegan Burger and some Onion Rings to eat.
After that, we slowly walked to the exit. We stopped by a shop to buy some clothes for me before exiting the park.
In my opinion, this adventure was a really fun one. I got to have lots of fun, which is what's most important. Other than that, my jetlag's getting better, so that's good. It's going to be a great time in the US!

Slice of Life #177 - Jetlag... - Monday, March 25th, 2019

My first full day in the US has passed quickly, and I am suffering from jetlag.
Yesterday, I set an alarm so I would be able to wake up at 7:00am, but I ended up walking up at 4 and reading instead because I couldn't sleep.
Woah! I just lost my tooth! Excuse me for a second...
Now, my mouth feels really weird because I am not used to not having that tooth in my mouth.
Today, I went to the science center. I was really tired because of jetlag, but I still managed to have fun there. I really liked the simulators because they were really cool.
There was a hurricane simulator, and me and my family decided to go in it. What ended up happening was my dad's spectacles blowing off his head and landing outside the simulator. Fortunately, my dad's spectacles were okay.
Tomorrow, I will be going to Disney Land. I hope that I won't be having jetlag tomorrow!

Slice Of Life #176 - In A Hotel - Sunday, March 24th 2019

Currently, I am sitting in a chair a few meters away from the TV watching a cooking competition while eating a Subway sandwich.
Me and my family are now currently in the US. My dad has a conference here, so me and my mom are going to follow him.
The conference doesn't start until the 28th, so we are going to spend the first 4 days having fun here, in Los Angeles.
Ugh! Another ad! My dad is now turning down the heater because it is starting to get hotter now.
Now, I am setting an alarm for tomorrow. I have to work out the math for the timing now because my watch is still set to Malaysia's time zone. The time in LA is 15 hours different from the time in Malaysia, so I have to set the alarm to 10pm in order for it to be 7am in LA. In LA, the time is now 10:47 at night.
Okay, singing off for now! Bye!

Slice Of Life #175 - Holiday! - Sunday, March 24th, 2019

Currently, I am in Hong-Kong waiting for a meal. I am now in the airport waiting for my flight to LA in US.
I managed to 'cheat the wifi system here' by putting in a fake email address instead of a real one.
In my opinion, the food here is extremely expensive, as you can get the same thing in Malaysia for less than half the price.
We have ordered some pizza and pasta, and are now waiting for it to be served. The average serving time here is about 30 minutes because almost the whole restuarant is filled with people. And trust me, the restaurant is pretty big.
I may not be able to slice tomorrow, because I am going to be very busy.
My mom has just came back with the news that our gate has been changed to gate 34 instead of 24.
Now, please excuse me as my food has came to the table.
Boy, it looks like good stuff!
    Signing off for now! Bye!

Slice of Life #153 - Chinese New Year! - Tuesday, February 5th, 2019

Okay... I will have to rush this post because it is currently 11pm at night, and I want to sleep soon.
I am now in the car, enjoying the ride back home. I almost forgot to slice today, as it has been a very busy day because today is Chinese New Year.
Yesterday, I went to my grandparents house. We stayed overnight for one night. Yesterday, for dinner, my mom cooked some food (that tasted pretty good - Thanks, mom!) Other than that, we also brought some 'Lou Sang' from KL to eat, which is a mixture of a bunch of foods. We mix it together with chopsticks (although we used forks this time for no reason) and eat it.
Today, we had spaghetti for breakfast, which my mother cooked. I also got a few red packets from my relatives, which is one of my favourite parts of Chinese New Year - free money!
I also went to one of our relative's house, where other relatives of mine would come and we would get together once a year - I got more red packets!
I didn't really get a lot of lunch because I wasn't very hungry. For dinner, we went outside to eat, but in my opinion, the food wasn't very good.
After dinner, we went back to my grandparents's house to pack up and get organised, before going to the Lost World of Tambun, which is a theme park.
Woah! I just lost my tooth! It fell! And I'm talking right now, as I'm writing this post!
Anyways, in the Lost World of Tambun, we brought a explorer pass, which is basically a yearly pass, which means that we can enter anytime we want (one entry per day) for exactly a year and 5 days (I don't know why the 5 days part is there, but it's extra, so I'll take it!)
And that was my experience for this year's Chinese New Year. We got to get together as a family, which, from what I know, is a very important part of Chinese New Year - getting together as one big family. One big, united family.

Slice Of Life #149 - Currently... - Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Currently...
  • I am wondering why I have been writing so many currently posts lately. Well, for one thing, I don't have much to write about.
  • I am thinking about my trip to the Lost World of Tanbun on Sunday. It was my 2nd time going there. I remember the water slide that I took. The first time I went there, we took the closed tunnel, while the 2nd time I went there, I took the dark tunnel, where everything was completely dark (I took all the slides with my dad - kids needed to go with an adult). My mom went on the semi-closed tunnel, which I hope to take next time.
  • My screen is lagging. The mouse is moving really, really, slowly.
  • Everything is okay now.
  • What game should I play?
  • I have decided to play Zombs Royale, which is an io game.
  • I have joined a squads game.
  • I got a quadra kill (which means I killed 4 people in a row).
  • I have been knocked down.
  • I am dead.
New Game
  • I am deploying my parachute.
  • My team is the first in the house, which usually means that you get all the guns first, which usually means that you have the upper hand.
  • There are 5 players left. I have found a mythic gun, which is really, really, good - it's better than a legendary.
  • A player has died due to gas.
  • Oh no! The other team is a team of 3! Its 3 against 2!
  • My teammate is knocked down.
  • I am trying to kill two of the people on the opposition team.
  • All the people on the opposition team are targeting me on all sides.
  • I am retreating.
  • I have entered a house.
  • I run to the front door (I entered through the back door).
  • I have 24 hearts left (which is very little, out of a 100).
  • 7 hearts left.
  • I am dead.
  • No!!!!!! We got 2nd place! We were so close!
Okay, I have to go! See you next Tuesday!
