The belt loops
I got off the car. It was a nice, pleasant day. I was going to the studio for my Cubscouts Pack Meeting. I was going to get my badges that day. When I went there, the color guards were putting the flags in place. We did the scout salute, the pledge of allegiance (even though I am not american, so I just saluted). After that, we recited the scout oath and the scout law. We had some skits to see. The skits were all the same skits as the skits we performed at the camp out. Our skit was not really a skit because we launched a rocket. After all the skits, it was finally time for the badges. We earned a lot of badges, including fix it and many other things. I forgot to bring the thing that we put our badges on, because I had brought my belt with all the badges that I had earned in the previous years. Now that we were webelos, we had a special thing to put our badges on. I did not need my belt anymore. The people that earned their bobcat badge, which was the beginning badge for scouting got their badge, but I didn't get it because I had already earned it years ago. I started scouting when I was in 1st grade. It was my passion, especially because my dad was a king scout in Malaysia (which basically is a eagle scout). Those that earned their bobcat badge had to do a good deed to be able to flip their badge and finally sew it onto their shirt. After that, we had a small cubmaster minute, which was a time when the cubmaster would have a small speech. After that, the color guards took down the flags, and again, we did the scout salute, and recited the scout oath and law. The pack meeting was finally over. I went to collect my materials for the pinewood derby. I had a lego derby and a wood one. After collecting my things, I went to the playground to play with my friends for a while, and then went to find my water bottle that I didn't bring home that day. I went to ask my den leader how to recharge my cyberchip badge, which was going to happen very soon. It was a nice and fun day.

Slice Of Life #63 - The 8th Steam Cup Malaysia - Happened on 18/11/2017 - Tuesday 21st, 2017 - 21/11/2017 - Written On 20/11/2017

It was a very exciting day for me because of what I had ahead of me. It was a cool, breezy morning. I had a robotics competition ahead of me. My teacher gave me a clothes to change into because that was the official 8th STEAM CUP MALAYSIA uniform. I quickly changed into that uniform, passed my old shirt to my parents, and said a quick goodbye. My teachers' car was really noisy because there was already some of my friends on it. I gave my robotics kit to my teachers, took my backpack that was on my back. My backpack was so light, it felt like there were only some clothes in them. In fact, it had a book, a water bottle, and some food. We went to pick up another student at his house. After that, we talked about the rules in the science center. We also talked about some of the robotics competition rules.
When we reached the science center, there were some photographers taking pictures of us walking in. We had some time to go to the bathroom. After going to the bathroom, we knew it wasn't time yet so we played some of the small games that were there in the science center.
After a while, we went up to the competition area to register ourselves and to get ready for the competition. I only had one competition, and that competition was coded CG - creative game. We had to create a robot that could help us for doing things. After we registered by typing our IC (identity card) number in, we had to confirm that all the information that was given was correct. We got a yellow stick to put on, and after we put it on, we could go to set up our robots and presentation. I did not have a lot of things to set up because I only had my robot which took me 30 seconds to set up, and a TV, a table, and a sofa. After setting up our things, I went to see some of the things in the exhibits. Not everything was on yet because we had special permission to enter early for the competition.
When the opening ceremony was starting, I went to sit down at our center's table. There was a speech by the chairman of STEAM CUP MALAYSIA, a opening ceremony, and a group photo.
After all that, it was time to present to the judge what we done for the competition. It was going to be the 7th person. I was very nervous, but I kept telling myself to calm down because I have had experience talking in front of 1000 people before.
When it was my turn, the came to me. There were video cameras in front of me. I really wondered why they needed to record the competition.
"Ready?" One of the judges asked.
    "Yup," I answered.
"Okay, no stress. 3,2,1, start." He said.
"Good morning everyone. This is my cleaner-bot," I began. "I made this cleaner-bot for my mom because she is very busy with my housework." I went on and on and on.
After my presentation was over, I was relived. I went to see other people's presentation, and I saw one that was really good. The girl had made a automatic machine to water plants. Of course, it didn't actually work that well because coding was not allowed, but still, I was quite impressed. After all the presenting, I went to see other cool robots that were practicing for the competition. There were robots that did bowling, and also some robots that could transport things. One of the bowling robots were really cool because it instantly knocked down all the pins in about 2 seconds, and a small part actually broke off.  When it was time for the real competition, I saw some even cooler things. A transporter robot actually managed to carry 60 batteries while making sharp turns.
After that, it was time to give out prizes for my competition. I didn't win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, but everyone got a medal.
It was then time for lunch time. We ate lunch at the 4th floor, but I ate my 2 red bean buns and some fried rice that my teacher had prepared for me because I was allergic to the food there.
After lunch, we got to see some robot fighting. I gave some tips to my 2 friends that were participating in the challenge. I told them to not attack the slanted parts, because that was they could easily push you off the battle arena. There were also some seniors fighting, and most of them couldn't fight because of how the fought. They fought until one was on top of another, and that way they couldn't move. When it was time for the finals, there were 2 people from the same center and had the same robots fighting for the finals. It was a real battle of skill.
After all the battling, it was time for the drone robotics challenge. We did really bad. Our transporter robot had a hard time turning, so we had to do last minute battery and wheel changes. When it was time for the real competition, our transporter robot did not even cross the take off line, so we couldn't let the drone to take off. We lost badly.
Finally, it was time for the medal ceremony. The top three winners would get a drone. After the medal ceremony, we got ready to go back to the center. We stopped by McDonalds to get a small treat, and then I went with my parents to go get some dinner. It was a very fun day.

Slice Of Life #62 - Going To Siem Reap - Day Three - Happened on 20/10/2017 - Tuesday 14th, 2017- 14/11/2017 - Wrote On 13/10/2017

It was our third day in Siem Reap. We still could eat in the Damnak Lounge because we were staying in the privilege floor - the 4th floor. but we chose not to because there wasn't much to eat in the Damnak Lounge, except for the fact that the juices they serve there are fresh, and you get more privacy. We went down to the ground floor restaurant, like the day before and started to get our food. A person asked us if we wanted them to make some noodles that we sort of customized yesterday because we were vegetarian, but we told her "It's okay, we're good.". I went to get some noodles with vegetables and also some hash browns.  I also ate some bake beans and some rice.
After breakfast, we went to find our tour guide for our boat tour, and we found the guide just outside the door waiting for us. We went to pick up another person (a woman) and then set off to our destination. It would take about 45 minutes from the hotel we were at now. Along the way, the guide stopped the car to get some ice and water. I saw the big, fat, and chunky cube of the ice. The ice was quite thick, the with of the ice at least 5 inches long. He got some water and some wet tissues and out all the items in. On the car, we told the tour guide that we were vegetarian, so our food would need to be vegetarian. He told us the agenda of the day, and pretty much for the rest of the car trip was all questions.
Upon reaching, we saw some kids going to school on a school bus, which looked more like a boat on land rather than a school bus. It's hard to believe how different school buses can look in different areas. We finally reached the village where we would be setting off. We got on the boat and started to set off. A kid who was not too tall, just about my age did not go to school, so he came on the boat with us. His father came together with us.
In the boat, it was hard to talk because of the loud roar of the engine. Too talk, we had to shout over the loud roar of the engine. The tour guide had some binoculars and let all of us look in it. I was the first person to have the binoculars, then came my dad, who was sitting behind me. After that was my mom and finally it was the woman's turn. We passed by a floating village, but we were not stopping there. I read some information about the sea we were passing all until we reached the floating village.
We went down the boat, went to the restrooms, and then got on the small canoe boat. We did not row the boat, but it was all until my mom's "boat driver" handed me a big leaf. I started to use that to paddle. When we got to the fish feeding area, I lost my paddle when it slowly floated away from me. Just then, they were feeding the fish. The fishes were splashing around, fighting for food. We also got to see the floating garden. We chose the one way option, so our "boat drivers" dropped us at the area where the community came together. I was quite surprised to see that they had a pool table with people playing there. We saw some alligators, some big ones and some small ones. They used them to earn money when they sold them.
After that, we ate lunch. There was some fried stuff, some rice, and some vegetables. After eating lunch, we went for the weaving class, which was quite complicated at first, but then it got easier and easier. We got to take the things we made home, and then we went to buy a basket to keep our keys. Our whole trip ended there. We then began the long way home. I slept most of the time, and because of that, it felt like we reached in a short time. We dropped the woman back to her hotel and it was then our turn. It was a really fun day.
Another plain day of school for you too? Where are you going? Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks For Reading My Blog!!! Please "Give" Me Any Comments You Have In The Comments Section Below!!! Stay Updated Some Other Good Posts!!!

Deepavali/Diwali Cultural Day

Me and Toby, my best friend

The result

At school, we had a Deepavali cultural day. On that day, we got to do many fun things. When it was time for music, we learned how to dance a Hindu dance and most of the words in the song was just "Baile". An Indian friend in our class called Raj danced, but he really didn't like it. After some time, the time for the dancing class was over and we went to learn how to cook some food. I was partners with Toby, my best friend. We had a slice of bread in front of us. I sliced it in half, and my Toby sliced them into thirds. I desperately asked again and again. "Is this vegan?" This was all because I was allergic to lots of stuff so to make it easy, I would just ask if it was vegan. We mixed the bread with a sauce, which was made with vegetables and flour, and we then gave it to the teacher. When the teacher took the fried food out. The smell of the food rushed up my nose, making the smell of food rush up everyone's nose. The result of the food was awesome, and I ate, wanting more and more each time. We ate some little crumbs and then went to recess. After recess, we went to see and try some of the food and see some of the things they do for Deepavali. Some of my friends got Henna, but I didn't because I did not prefer it. We also got to watch Indian dances in the Studio. The performance I liked the most was the drum performance. There were 2 people playing the drums, but it sounded like 10 people were playing the drums. It was a really fun and great day.

Slice Of Life #61 - The Emergency Room - Happened on 5/11/2017 - Tuesday 1th, November 2017 - 711/2017 - Wrote On 6/11/2017

It was a pleasant day for us, until we were eating dinner and my dad got a phone call. One of his/my mom's friends's son was in the admitted to the hospital. At first, I didn't know what was happening, but as soon as we got there, I completely could understand that it was a really big problem. My dad quickly pressed a button (I think it was a button because I didn't really have time to see it clearly). The doors to the emergency room opened, as a blast of fresh, cold air rushed out the door. I could see the worried look on the father's face, and also the red, teary eyes on the mother's face. There, we learned that his son had something wrong with him, and they didn't know what. Her son just called her lots of times, and when she said wait, within 1 minute, the son was already lying down, flat on the car seat. It was quite surprising because we all had saw her son running around, trying to catch a kid early this morning. My dad went in the room, eager to look at what the doctors inside were doing. He told me that being a doctor in the emergency room could be quite stressful, mostly because he experienced it before. My dad was a doctor, a pediatrician for quite some time now. After that, we went out to just talk about some things. We needed to calm her down, because we didn't want her to feel bad. There, I learned that when I was 1 week old, I was actually admitted to the same hospital because of dehydration. I saw the nurse coming out and asking for something in the medicine area, and the mother told us that it was quite stressful for her to see the nurse coming out to get some things for her son. The doctors called Serdang hospital, checking to see if there was any space for the patient to go there. They said no, so then they had to call another hospital. There would also need to have emergency treatment in the ambulance. We got some coffee for her & her husband, and also a sandwich for her to eat. I needed to go home to take a bath, so we quickly went home for us to take a bath. My dad wanted to go with them when they were transferring hospitals. My dad went out first, and we would go after my mom was ready. My dad then called back home, telling us that the ambulance just arrived and they were loading the patient onto the ambulance, so we didn't need to go. After that, I just changed my clothes and went to sleep, knowing that my dad would come back around midnight, but it was completely normal for him.

There's already enough suffering in this world, and I just really hope it could stop. Have you ever experienced being admitted into the hospital? Was it the emergency room? Was it just a small problem? Thanks For Reading My Blog!!! Please "Give" Me Any Comments You Have In The Comments Section Below!!! Stay Updated For Some Other Good Posts!!!

P.S The Siem Reap holidays will be continued whenever I don't have anything to write about, which is probably next week.
