Slice Of Life #40 - SUPERCAMP!!! - Part 1 - Episode 1 (This was wrote from 29/5/2017 - 30/5/2017 but was published on 30/5/2017 and this happened on 27/5/2017)

It was 7:30 in the morning. Finally! Time to go to Supercamp! I had woke up many times that morning. I was really excited to go to Supercamp.
We arrived at Supercamp at 8:00. This time, Supercamp was being held at GIS - Garden International School. I registered and went to put my bags like everyone did, and went to join the group. We started playing a game called Ninja. It was a game when you had 2 hands as swords, and we had to try to chop of each other's hand (Also known as sword, which kind of doesn't make sense.) It was a really fun game. I decided to go on full protection mode and was very careful when I attacked people because they can also easily kill you if you are not careful. After that, we played a weird game where snakes would eat rabbits (I know that's not weird...), rabbits would eat horses (Common sense???), and horses would eat snakes (Not too bad, but still... Common Sense???).
After that, we went up to the classroom. At first, they said this: Boys here, girls here, don't go in the wrong room!". At first I thought that boys and girls were separated. It was until I realized it was the bathroom. After that, I learned that the magic word for going in is LET US IN!!! LET US IN!!! LET US IN!!! (How rude...). After that, everyone wanted to go in, so then we all started chanting: LET US IN!!! LET US IN!!! LET US IN!!! and they let us in. When we went in, we all started dancing (I didn't want to dance, but I did.). Then they all introduced themselves and did the "2 Truths, 1 Lie" game. I found many weird facts and I also found a good tip for the "2 Truths, 1 Lie" game - The most common one is the false one. I found out that my team leader - Sam, has some stitches on his head because he was playing wrestling with his friends. (His friend just dropped him and he started crying. There was blood everywhere. (Then his girlfriend just walked past, HEHE...)) After that, we went into our groups and introduced ourselves, then played a "Get to know yourself better" game. After that, one of the teachers told us the "Airport Rules" at Supercamp. The rules were really strict. Do 1 thing wrong and they pull you out of the group, have a chat (Really, they get really mad with you) with you, and SEND YOU BACK HOME with NO REFUND of the program. Then, it was break time. I watched some people practice baseball on the field. It was fun.
Then we went in and made a shopping list (We didn't really need it). We used some "Power pegs" to remember the shopping list.

Power Pegs:

  1. Sun
  2. Eyes
  3. Triangles
  4. Floors
  5. Fingers
  6. Sticks
  7. 7 Up

  9. Lives (It's a myth that cats have 9 lives)
  10. Hen
  11. Hands (Put your hands up and they look like 11)
  12. Fried Eggs
  13. Black Friday
  14. Heart
  15. Tennis
  16. Sweets
  17. Magazine
  18. Graduation
  19. 19 Inch Tv
  20. MONEY!!! $$$$

Shopping List:

  1.  Ice Cream
  2. Mc Donalds
  3. Potatoes
  4. Fried Chicken
  5. Kimchi
  6.  Fish
  7. Chips
  8. Sausage
  9. Pizza
  10. (I forgot)
  11. KFC
  12. (I forgot)
  13. (I forgot)
  14. Sushi
  15. Coca Cola
  16. (I forgot)
  17. VEGETABLES!!!
  18. (I forgot)
  19. Candy
  20. Chocolate
After that, we went back into our groups and played a game where you had to give/do what the teacher said and the fastest group would win 1000 points. Our group was not too good (No Offence if anyone from my group is reading my blog, but it's true...). We only got 3000 points. The winning group was group J (I was group I) and they got some candy (I think because I couldn't really see). After that, we had break time. I ate some bread and watched a friend in my team called Jedi dance. He was a AWESOME dancer. In fact, he won 7 dance tournaments!!!
After that, we learned that the founder of Supercamp was called Bobbi (At first I thought it was spelled Bobby). He interviewed a lot of popular people and asked them their key to success. She (She's a girl) then came up with 8 keys to success. "Keys open the doors, keys open the doors. Keys, keys, open the doors." Then they said at Supercamp, when you heard the word "keys", you had to say: Keys open the doors, keys open the doors. Keys, keys, open the doors.

The 8 Keys To Success
  1. Integrity - Your values matches with your actions.
  2. Failure Leads To Success - It's ok to fail! Failure = Feedback
  3. Speak With Good Purpose - Words are powerful, it can build people up, and tear people down.
  4. This Is It - Make the most/ best of every moment.
  5. Commitment - Put in 100% effort and make your dreams come true!
  6. Ownership - Take responsibility over the choices that you make and the consequences that could happen.
  7. Flexibility - Be willing to do things differently.
  8. Balance - Make good decisions in life.
Then, we wrote down what was our favorite Key to success and why it was our favorite key to success. My favorite key was Failure Leads To Success because I like learning by failing. Then it was time to go home. We returned our name tags, I went to the toilet, and chatted with one of the team leaders, Taf all the way down. On the field, I saw some people half naked playing rugby. I quickly found my dad beside the field and we went home. (There was a net separating my us and the "half naked rugby dudes".)

Have you ever been to a 2 day camp? Have you learned a lot in the camp? Hope to hear from you in the comments section below! Thanks for reading my blog!

Slice Of Life #39 - MONEY!!! - (This was wrote from 21/5/2017 - 22/5/2017 but was published on 23/5/2017 and this happened on 17/5/2017)

I was doing my theory in my piano class, and a teacher came in to pick up his things he forgotten in the class. At first I just kept doing my theory, but then my teacher said "This teacher is a bad guy." I was amazed when he first told me that. After all, who in the world hate's their friend? My teacher's wallet was on the piano, just on top of the other "bad teacher's" things.  When the "bad teacher" heard my piano teacher say that, he took my teacher's wallet and started taking money out of it. At first, I thought that it was the "bad teacher's" wallet.
"OI!" My piano teacher shouted as he snatched his wallet back. Then I realized that the wallet belonged to my piano teacher. The bad teacher was stealing! After that, I was laughing and doing my theory at the same time.
"Was that really that funny?" My teacher asked me. But I did not reply him, it was too funny. On the way home, I told my mom and started laughing.

Have you ever seen someone steal? Hope to hear from you in the comments section below! Thanks for reading my blog!

Slice Of Life #38 - Oh No, What Am I Going To Do??? - (This Was Wrote On 15/5/2017 But Was Published On 16/5/2017 And This Happened On 26/4/2017)

My piano class was over, and I needed to go to the bathroom. The bathroom door was hard to close, so my piano teacher, who was drinking water beside the bathroom helped me to close the bathroom door. It was really weird. My piano teacher made it look easy to close the bathroom door, but it was actually was pretty hard.
After I was done using the bathroom, I washed my hands and was getting ready to go out of the bathroom. I tried to open the bathroom door. It was tightly closed. I froze in horror. I was shocked. I always thought how it was like to be stuck in the bathroom, but I never thought it would happen to me someday. Now I've experienced it.
It was weird, and I was starting to panic. It was not yet fully closed, but it was still closed tight. I tried to smash the door open, but then I just realized that that would just make it worse. I tried to kick the door backwards, but it was still stuck. So then I realized that the easiest way to get out of the bathroom was just to bang on the door and shout for help.

"Help!" I shouted "Can anyone open this door?" I shouted.

Another piano teacher heard me and came to help. She managed to open the door and explained that the door was broken, so sometimes it's hard to just close, and open the door. I was ok.

Have you ever got stuck in the toilet? Do you have any panicking times in the toilet? Hope to hear from you in the comments section below! Thanks for reading my blog!

Slice Of Life #37 - Happy Birthday To You!!! (This Was Wrote On 8/5/2017 But Was Published On 9/5/2017 And My REAL Birthday Was On 6/5/2017)

It was 5:20 in the morning, and my Mom told me to wake up because we were going to go to a "Morning Dharma" assembly. I was really tired so I slept for a little bit in the car. The "Morning Dharma" assembly lasted until 6:30. Then we went back, my mom did some work, my dad wrote some messages to other people, and I played the math game "Prodigy", like always. (Ms. Victor, you know...)  (Click here and here to learn more about the math game Prodigy! It's a fun game!) Then, in the notifications area, this is what I saw:  "Ms. Victor (Classroom)" (It said her full name, but that is private.) "What? She posts things in Google Classroom so early?" "How early is that?" I said, loud enough so my mom and dad could hear me. "Yup, she wakes up really early." My mom replied. After that, my dad wished me "Happy Birthday" as I went to eat breakfast.  "Oh, did you know that I bought you a birthday present? It the book "Go Big" that you wanted for ages!" My dad said. "YAY!!!" I was going to get a new book! (Click here to learn more about  the book "Go Big!")

The nice and special treats my mom bought for me.
Then, we sent my dad to work and then my mom went to buy some nice "treats" for me. She said she wanted to go to wash her car and on the way, my mom said "Look at this." So I did. My teacher - Ms Victor, sent me a email!
This was what it she said:
Dear Zhi Hong,
Best wishes for a happy birthday!
Enjoy,
Ms. Victor
This was what I replied:
Thanks for your kind wishes. So thoughtful of you. Do you remember everyone in the class's birthday? It seems like you do so. Thanks anyway!
I was really happy now. After that, we went home and I watched Youtube and I also called my friend "Tiago" just to chat. After a while, me and my mom we went to collect my 1 KG of "Banana Chocolate" cake. Then, we went home to put the cake in the fridge and then went out to fetch my dad to go to our brain training center.
After that, the "coaches" in the center started wishing me "Happy Birthday". We went back to collect my cake and then went out to a "Dentist Gathering".  We ate a lot of cake there and a lot of people also wished me "Happy Birthday". The cake said "Happy Birthday Zhi Hong!!!". I got to eat my "Z" and it was also the biggest piece. We still had some leftovers and so we took a quarter of the cake home. Then we chatted for a bit and prepared to go home. When we wanted to go home, a uncle gave me a present. It was already late so my mom quickly got some things from her friend, and I quickly slept in the car. The next day, when I opened the present, I found out it was a really nice pencil box with all the basic things for writing.

Have you ever had a birthday with a email from your teacher? Hope to hear from you in the comments section below! Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for reading my blog!

Slice Of Life #36 - (2/5/2017) - Going To Taiwan - Part 3 / Day 3

Related image
Our Master.
I got to meet him more than 3 times!
I will meet him later in the post!
It was early in the morning, and like the day before, I was getting ready to get up, accept I was very tired so I slept for 10 more minutes.  I got up and quickly brushed my teeth and packed my bag, because this was the last day I was going to be in Taiwan. A lot of people went down at 4:00 AM, but I went down with my dad at 4:25 AM because we had to pack our bags to go home. After that, we had our "early breakfast" (Again, it was 6:00.) but my dad went to eat with our master.
After that, it was free for all time. But we did not go to listen to the speech like last time. Instead, we went up so I could memorize the speech I was going to say to our master. (It was basically a translation of the speech in Chinese I gave in the conference. Don't know much about the speech I gave? Click here!) I was really depressed about the speech I was going to give to our master, I did not know if I could memorize my speech in time and I thought of giving the one and only published copy of my speech (Translated into Chinese) to him as a letter, but I already wrote some notes on it and I also wanted to keep the one and only published copy of my speech (Translated into Chinese).
After I memorized my speech, I practiced it in front of my dad's friend to make sure I really remembered the speech, and I really remembered it.
Then I played a math game called "Prodigy" and just like the day before, I also tried to call my friend "Tiago" but again, there was no internet connection even though I bought a " 3 Day Sim Card" (I probably had no internet connection because my Sim Card Probably wasn't strong enough. Click here and here to learn more about the math game Prodigy! It's a fun game! Be sure to make your own Prodigy account now!)
Then it was time, we went down and prepared to meet our master. My dad was the one who said a ton of stuff to our master, because my dad was the coordinator of the TIMA organisation in Malaysia. At the end, my dad had a whole slide of me in his slideshow. "Seriously??? I knew you would introduce me to our master, but I didn't expect you to have a whole page talking about me in the slideshow..." I was thinking in my mind. I also found out that I had to "Last minute add" something in my speech, but I knew that sometimes you just have to go with the flow and so I just said my speech like I knew there was going to say the thing I "Last minute added" in my speech. He said I deserved a award and gave me a book about animals and a CD with a lot of meaningful stories. I said "Thank you very much." and I took the book about animals and a CD with a lot of meaningful stories.  (I don't really know much about it because I didn't open it yet.)
After we met our master, I talked to some of our other masters that was there. One of the masters asked me if I was scared but I just told him no because I had already met him a lot of times. Then we walked out and took a few group photos and went to eat lunch. My dad and some of his friends ate with our master so I had to eat alone (How sad... Just kidding...). The lunch there was not bad, and I quickly ate everything and went to wash my plate. After that, when our master was finished, we all stood up and bowed. Master touched my head and told us all to sit down.
When lunch was over, we went up to take our luggages and got on a car to go to the train station. We took the train to a certain stop and went down to meet the taxi driver that was going to fetch us to the airport.
When we reached the airport, we quickly checked in and cleared immigration and went into the China Airlines lounge. I ate a lot of rice and tofu and we went in to the plane. I found out that we were sitting in the 2nd row in business class but I knew that it was only because they were the only choice for us -  all the economy class seats were booked. They called me Mr (Even though I told them not to) and gave me some toys.  Then I ate while looking at a movie and then slept because we were going to reach Malaysia at midnight and I also had school the next day.
