Slice Of Life #112 - Map Testing + Map Testing AGAIN Tomorrow!!!!

Okay, so that map test was hard. I need to sleep early today. AGAIN!!! WHY? BECAUSE I AM TAKING THE MAP TEST AGAIN TOMORROW!!!
Basically, the MAP Test is not a timed test, which is one reason why I'm happy. I get to retake my reading and math test again. Why? Well, I didn't finish it in 1 hour.
I was on my 27th question when my teacher stopped me on my math test. This was probably because I spent every inch of my time thinking about how to work out really, really hard questions. I eventually found the answers for some of them, and my dad told me that I was probably correct because he said that I solved it correctly! I'm so happy!!!!
Oh, and this was the question for the question that I solved correctly. I remember the question clearly in the mind. Anyways, this was the question:
You have a box with a volume of 1500m. The width of the box is 15m, while the length of the box is 5m. What is the height of this box?
When I first got that question, I was like: Wha? (I know, I spelled 'what' wrongly, but on purpose.) After 3 mins of hard thinking, I decided to just do 15x5xX. When I reached answer B (which was 20m), I got 1500m. I then selected B because it was probably the correct answer.
On the other hand, for my reading test, my teacher stopped me on my 48th question! Why?! At the worst time!!! I was almost done with the test, because people usually answer about 50 questions before their test is over.
About the reading test, it was also. I expected the reading test to be harder than the math test, but the math test was WAY, WAY HARDER. I got really long passages in the test, which took like, 2 mins to read. Other than that, they started asking me about Latin roots, which I had learned when I was young, so I remembered a little. They also asked me for a synonym for this word that I didn't even know existed.
Basically, my replacement session is tomorrow, which means that I am going to continue my test tomorrow. Now, I have to go because I have to sleep early today.

Slice Of Life #111 - TEST TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Tuesday, 17/4/2018

"I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I'M HAVING MUSHROOM STEW!" This music is currently blurting into my ears.
It's currently 7:44pm, and we have MAP Testing tomorrow. Map stands for 'Measures of Academic Progress' (I found that on Google.) There is really nothing that I can do to prepare for the test except for having a good night sleep and a good breakfast. These are always what my teachers would always tell us before MAP Testing. The MAP test is a test on the computer. MAP Tests include math and reading. We are doing math tomorrow, and reading on Friday. The reading test, in my opinion, is harder than the math test, mainly because I get really long pieces of text to read. This test is not a timed test and you don't have a time limit to complete the test. That's one of the good things about the test.
But, bad news! You usually get questions that you don't know the answer to because they are for grades higher than you. The more questions you get correct, the harder and more questions you have. So, why do they give you questions that could be for high school? That's because they (your teachers) want to see how good you are. Who knows how good you are? You could be a 4th grader, but be as smart as a 7th grader. Oh, and that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.
So back to talking about me. I am not feeling bad about the test, because I believe that I can do pretty well. I have faith in myself. Now, I don't have anything to talk about now. Clock is ticking. 4 minutes till 8. Today, my bedtime is 9:00, which is 30 minutes earlier than normal. I think that I am going to end my post here, because I have to read some books and finish my 'not a lot' of homework. Got to get a goodnight sleep!

Slice Of Life #110 - Blue & Gold Dinner - Tuesday, 10/4/2018 - Happened On Saturday, 7/4/2018

A wave of wind gushed out of the middle & high school canteen as I opened the doors to them. I took my first step into the canteen just to be greeted by friends right away. I went and found my seat in my den's table. I found the 'Webelos 4' table, which was our den's table, and sat down.
"May I just get your attention for a little while, please?" Our cubmaster asked. It became so silent that you could hear a pin drop. "Thank you for coming here today. We have food at the back here for our dinner, which was cooked by the 'Picha Project'. I think I'll talk about the 'Picha Project' later." He lectured on and on about the food payment for about 1 minute, and I think that I might have fell asleep there.
"You may now get food now."
Everyone rushed to the food area, and made a line. My friends were really lucky, because they were all in the beginning of the line. Sadly, I didn't get there quick enough, and by the time I wanted to go there, the line was REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, LONG. It might have took an eternity if I wanted to line up now.
Unfortunately, I had to wait until almost everyone got their food until the line was shorter to get my food. By the time I got my food and went back, my friends were almost done eating. I had gotten some rice and this type of bread, but I can't really tell you what bread it is, because I don't know what bread it is.
After everyone finished their food and after our cubmaster talked about the 'Picha Project', he called up all the Webelos 5 people. That group was for 5th graders only, and in that grade, you would earn the 'Arrow Of Light', which is the highest ranking badge in cubscouting, and is one of the only 2 badges that are allowed to be carried onto the Boy Scouting uniform. He gave all the Webelos 5s flashlights that were supposed to be really good. He wanted them to remember the flashlight when they moved onto Boy Scouting, and that it would give them light when they were facing challenges.
There was a ceremony where the Boy Scouts would help the Cub Scouts transfer to Boy Scouting, and that we had to sit in the front because we would be doing that next year.
The highest ranking person in Cub Scouts (in our school) was the Webelos 5 den leader, so he was the person that said everything.
"After you cross your bridge after your name is called, you will officially be in Boy Scouts, and no longer a Cub Scout. Congratulations."
After every Webelos 5 was officially a Boy Scout, we watched a video of their experiences in Cub Scouting, and then we went to eat some more food with my parents friends (we already planned it). HAHA!!!!!

P.S I am listening to REALLY ADDICTING SONGS right now.

Slice Of Life #109 - In School - Tuesday, 3/4/2018

Currently, I am in school with free blogging time. Hey! I thought. Why not write my Slice Of Life! And so I did. But again, everyone is typing on their computers and I can't hear anything because there is music that is blaring in my ears, blocking all of my hearing. But in the first place, no one is talking in the first place.Oh, and just a sneak peek, my earbuds just cracked a little. The good news is the fact that I still can hear the music. I will try and using tape, but the tape hurt my ears, so I quit trying. I am currently asking myself WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY TYPING TODAY? I am typing a lot of words wrong. But now I am finally not typing wrong words anymore.
A classmate beside me is typing a post about her vacation, but I already wrote about my vacation (not really a vacation because it was just 1 week). "Are we allowed to listen to music?" She just asked me.
"Yes," I replied, annoyed that she is distracting my post (actually, she's giving me things to write about). I just made the music softer because the music was too loud. Wow! I am currently thinking this. She's listening to Mozart songs and the whole video is an hour long (I think it's an hour long). Anyways, I still have nothing to write about.
I am now looking around the room at things that were here since the beginning of the year. Wait. I just realized why I spelled some words wrong now. My fingers shifted to the incorrect position when I was looking around the room and on the lookout for things to write about.
What is wrong with this 'Grammarly' app now? And now 'Grammarly' making me spell its name correctly. And it dosen't let me put an apostrophe on it's. Now I just changed the song to a top 15 best songs playlist and the song that is playing right now is really good. Wait. My teacher is calling me.
Apparently, she wanted to correct me and tell me that when you have a fraction you have to add it with a fraction, and not with a decimal. The same thing goes for decimals. She told me it wasn't wrong, but she wanted to tell me to make it fraction + fraction, and decimal + decimal.
Woah... Now Grammarly is correcting me again and I have put a comma after 'apparently'. I know you have to do that, but can I at least correct my own grammar?????? And it is now telling me that 'doesn't' is spelled wrong and that I have to change it to doesn't. Well, he's writing it in British English, so I don't care.
Aowww! My earbuds are stuck in my ear! How do I get this out? I am carefully pushing the earbuds to the side of my ear so it doesn't touch my ear. 'Don't mine at night! How many times do I have to say? Drop the pick and walk away. Remember last time I tried to mine at night? I failed! I died! I lost all my stuff!' The song is really good, but only when you have the music and not just the lyrics.
Yay! My friend is reading my 100th post!! He commented on it! I replied! Ok. That was boring.
Ok. Now, I have 4 more mins, so I have to publish this post now. Thanks for reading!!!

Slice Of Life #108 - The End - Saturday, 31/3/2018

When the 'season' (as I like to call it) of Slice Of Life starts, it is a very happy and exciting time when you yelp and squeal with joy. When the 'season' Slice Of Life ends, it is the exactly opposite. It is a sad and miserable time because 'slicing' is over. Slice Of Life, in my opinion, is a really fun thing to do to occupy your time. Not only is it a fun thing, it actually improves you in many unimaginable ways such as writing, keyboarding, etc.
This 'season' of slicing is going to be a very important 'season' to me, not only because I was able to redo what I did last year - slicing every day, but also because this was the 'season' of slicing that I achieved my 100th slice, which was only 8 days ago (although it seems like ages ago).
"Why do I have this much determination and persistence for slicing?" This is a question that I always ask myself to reflect on my slices. To be honest, I really don't know. All I know is that for a fact, I slice because it's awfully addictive and fun (though addictive in a good way). I actually have way more reasons for slicing. Wait. You can click here and here. I'm also very grateful to my 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Victor for recommending 'slicing' to me.
As this 'season' of slicing draws to an end, I am very sad, but I am still happy because I will keep slicing. This definitely will not be my last post, and I know it for sure. I WILL slice again in the future. I always slice on Tuesdays, and I will never, ever stop. No matter what challenges face me, and how long I have to do it, I will always keep slicing, even if it means for a eternity.

Anyways, I've said it already, and I'll say it again.
SLICING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slice of Life #106

The Most Updated Reports On Zhi Hong

ANALYSING DATA...

Country: Malaysia
State: Penang
Place: Bukit Mertajam
Feeling: Very happy

Report:
Currently, I am in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia. It is steaming hot in this hocker store, mainly because this hocker store is open air and it is steaming hot outside. Also, there are 'cooking stations' all around us, which makes it even hotter. I am currently sweating like crazy. There is a fan spinning as fast as a hypersonic jet pretty near me, but it is not making me any more colder. Bukit Mertajam is the place of my mom's childhood, along with my aunt and uncle. My uncle lives here now, and we came here to visit my uncle, and also for something like 'day of the dead'. Wait a second. I need to take a refreshing sip of cold coconut water. So anyways, I am very excited to be here, and I am looking forward to some fun sutff later today and tomorow. Wait again. I need to get on my uncle's car first.
1 min later...
Ah, AIRCOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
